It Started as One, and Will Be One Again

Art by Jester
A long time ago, the universe was full of light. But the light was so concentrated and intense that it was invisible, and nothing else could exist. The universe itself could not contain the light, and so it shattered into many sparks. These sparks broke apart further into many more, smaller sparks, which fell through time and space. These are fragments of the original light.

We are all finding these sparks, learning about them, and bringing them back together in a large family. When we have achieved this and the world is again filled with light, it will be even greater than in the beginning. The cords may have broken, but they are being tied together more strongly than at the beginning, and the knots themselves bring the lights closer together. In the end, when the work is completed, the universe will be filled with relationships, and this will be our entire occupation: to learn about the link that connects us and all existence together.

Abraham had many children. Though he gave everything he had to Isaac, to his other children he gave gifts of knowledge, sparks to carry with them as they travelled to the lands of the rising sun. The sparks scattered and were mixed with the darkness, but their forgotten wisdom can shine again once they are purified of the dross.

The very beginning of the cosmos is shrouded in the mysteries of Quantum Mechanics. Due to the extremely high energies present at the Big Bang, it is not possible to theorize much about the Planck Epoch, the first 10-43 seconds of the universe immediately following it. At this point, all the known universe was compressed into the Planck length, or 10-35 meters, which is the smallest meaningful unit of distance. For any time before and for any distance smaller, the laws of physics do not apply.

Even after that, atoms did not exist, and photons rocketed through a thick soup of jumbled particles, unable to shine because the density of the universe was so great as to be opaque. It was so hot, in other words, that light could not shine. Only after the effect of 380,000 years did the universe cool enough to become translucent, and the first light to escape the soup is still visible to our telescopes as cosmic microwave background radiation, coming from the far limits of the known universe.

Though the Standard Model explains much, still elusive to it is the ultimate unification of the elemental forces that formed the universe. String Theory, as a grand unified field theory, is a possible answer to this remaining question, and its verification and development is the current goal of particle physicists.

In the dawn of post-diluvial civilization, all humankind lived together, speaking the same tongue, and understanding the secrets of the universe. Coming together, they built a tower to unite them all in battle against the heavens. The Universal Soul consulted Its court, and in compassion for them decided not to destroy them. Instead, It confused the languages, and each people separated according to their tongues and spread out over the face of the earth.

Thousands of years later, beginning with the six hundredth year of the sixth millennium since the dawn of human civilization, the "waters" of knowledge from below and from above burst forth in an outpouring over humanity. Wisdom of technology and the heavenly realms took the world by storm. It became possible for long-separated nations to communicate as if in the same room, and simultaneously, a great thirst for ever deeper knowledge was awakened in the hearts of mankind.

And yet, the more we answered the "How?" the more we longed to know "Why?" and all other things paled before it as the thirst grew. The pleasures and delicacies of the world lost their taste; the fragrance of flowers and grass faded; and the hues of life no longer saturated our eyes. The psyche was darkness, the world but a combination of ephemeral waves, moving specks of no consequence in and out as the world began to sink into confusion.

The world awaits an answer.

In the future, a great leader will arise. An advisor and scholar to the world, he will open our eyes to the deeper reality of existence, and darkness shall vanish, as if it never was, before the light of the Great Existence. Even if your scattered are at the ends of the heavens, the Eternal, the Source of your existence, will gather you up from there, and from there will It take you. The world will be filled with meaning and purpose apparent to all beings, and peace will be firmly established forever.

In that era, there will be neither famine nor war, envy or competition, for good will flow in abundance and all the delights will be freely available as the dust. The occupation of the entire world will be solely to know the Great Existence.
